If your vehicle breaks down on the highway or if you are in an accident, be sure it is safe to do so before calling a tow truck to transport it to the car repair shop of your choice, having a private settlement, or making a phone call on the road.
What's Next?
In an accident:
a) Exchange Particulars of Parties Involved in the Accident and take note of the vehicle numbers
b) Take photos of the scene of the accident and the damages to all vehicles.
c) Call Your Insurer's Hotline for a Tow-Truck or further advice on the accident
Report the accident to your Insurer within 24 Hours or by the next working day.
At the Shop...
At Yap Motor Repair Service, we pride ourselves on completing your repairs and claims as soon as possible. Here are the necessary steps we take to make the process easier: We will arrange for a tow truck to arrive as soon as possible at your pickup location when you contact us. Once at our car workshop, we will assist you with paperwork such as Reporting forms for your insurer, private settlement forms, and legal documents to proceed with your claims. And then, we would work with the surveyors, estimators, and authorised workshops to access your vehicle. Once all legal matters are settled, we will arrange with you whether you need a vehicle for rental and repair your vehicle within 1-2 weeks’ time. Once your vehicle is ready, you can go your own merry way again!
